About me
Professional Cognitive Behavioural Therapist
I am an experienced CBT and integrative therapist with over 16 years of experience helping individuals navigate a broad range of issues, including depression, anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, and self-esteem challenges. I trained in CBT and Group Work at The Centre of Therapy in Glasgow, and my approach is rooted in evidence-based techniques.
I am fully insured and a professional member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), the lead organization for CBT in the UK. I am committed to providing a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their concerns with full confidence and work towards meaningful change.
To ensure the highest level of care, I regularly engage in supervision and continuing professional development (CPD) to enhance my skills, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with many people, guiding them on their journeys to improved mental health and well-being. My clients often describe me as compassionate, understanding, and practical, with a clear focus on helping them achieve their goals.
My journey into therapy began when I experienced first-hand how transformative effective therapy can be. This inspired me to train as a therapist in my early 40s, driven by a desire to help others achieve similar positive changes in their lives. With a lifelong passion for psychology this step felt like a natural progression. My varied life experiences have given me deep empathy and insight into the challenges and hardships people can face. I am acutely aware of the stresses we all encounter and have witnessed the profound impact effective therapy can have in promoting healing and transformation. It is an honour to guide others on their healing journeys, and I am fully dedicated to supporting my clients' recovery and well-being.
I have formerly worked with children and families as a Hospital Play Specialist at the 'Edinburgh Sick Kids' hospital and have a background in dance and performance. I lead an award-winning visual theatre collective that has toured both nationally and internationally. I continue to stay actively involved in performance and directing, which remain an integral part of my creative life.
My practice is founded on the belief that change and growth is possible for everybody, and I am here to support you on that journey. Whether you're facing a specific challenge or aiming to enhance your overall mental well-being, I am here to work with you toward a brighter and more fulfilling future.
